Justin Bieber, his Ferrari fine after minor crash (AP)

LOS ANGELES – Justin Bieber and his Ferrari are both fine after a fender-bender in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Police Officer Gregory Baek says the 17-year-old singer was involved in "a very minor collision" Tuesday afternoon in LA's Studio City.

The officer said no one was injured or cited and no police report was taken. There was no visible damage to Bieber's car or the Honda Civic involved in the crash.

Bieber recently appeared at MTV's Video Music Awards, where he won best male video for his song "U Smile."

Justin Timberlake joins Mila Kunis at marine ball (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap) – Justin Timberlake says he may join "Friends With Benefits" co-star Mila Kunis in attending the Marine Corps Ball in November.

After one Marine invited Kunis to attend on YouTube, Cpl. Kelsey De Santis issued her own YouTube invitation to Timberlake. Santis is apparently the only woman posted at the Martial Arts Center for Excellence at Marine Corps Base Quantico, in Virginia.

Timberlake had urged Kunis to accept her invitation -- and at a "Friends With Benefits" press event, she in turn urged him to accept his.

"Do it for your country," she said.

"I don't feel backed into a corner at all!" Timberlake said, before adding, "I'll tell you what, I accept. If my schedule works out to do it, I'd love to do it. It's an honor."

Kunis' attending was briefly in question after Access Hollywood's Billy Bush reported that she wouldn't be able to keep her date with Sgt. Scott Moore because she is filming two movies in November.

"Do not believe what Billy Bush says," Kunis told reporters. "I am attending ... I accepted an invitation and I'm staying true to my word."

The November 18 ball will take place in Greenville, N.C., with Kunis and Timberlake on the arms of some lucky marines.

"I don't get asked out, ever. So, I was very flattered by that. And I hear that she's trained in martial arts, so I'm hoping we can tussle at some point," Timberlake said of his date.

MySpace owner talks Justin Timberlake's new job (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap) – Can MySpace be saved?

That's the question facing the sickly social network's new owner Specific Media. Instead of picking up the site for parts, the Irvine-based online advertising network's CEO Tim Vanderhook says he is serious about relaunching MySpace as a digital entertainment destination.

He's certainly got one big name in his corner who could help make those ambitions more than just a pipe dream.

Shortly after picking up MySpace from News Corp. for $35 million on Wednesday, Specific Media said that it was bringing on popstar and actor Justin Timberlake to serve as the site's creative director.

It was a move that no one saw coming, instantly generating more excitement around MySpace than the site has seen for years. Fresh off his coup, Vanderhook told TheWrap about his vision for MySpace, how Timberlake will be involved, and why the social network fell behind Facebook.

Q: MySpace is seen as a tarnished brand. Will it be difficult to make people care about it again?

A: We still have 70 million people coming to the site that would disagree with that statement. One thing that we love about MySpace is that it's iconic, and when it comes to the online space, iconic brands always have the ability to bounce back.

Q: How did Justin Timberlake come on board? Did you know him before?

A: No, we didn't know him. When it comes to creative ideas, we're not professional content creators. We're not artists or musicians. We wanted to find a multi-faceted person who is all of those things, so we were sitting in a room thinking about who that person would be, and Justin was the name that came up.

We reached out to anyone who could get ahold of him and eventually we got a meeting. We talked about MySpace and told him we wanted to find a partner to guide our creative course, and something about MySpace just struck a cord in him. He's very passionate about helping young artists get discovered and within that meeting he was coming up with hundreds of ideas instantly.

Q: How involved will Justin be in the company's day-to-day operations?

A: Obviously, he has many careers that he has to take care of, so his time is limited, but his passion and involvement are high. He will have an office at MySpace and he will have six people working directly for him, who will be executing on what he wants to do.

Q: Did his role playing Facebook guru Sean Parker in "The Social Network" make him more interested in being involved in MySpace?

A: No, that just happened to be ironic. He was more interested in what we were doing from a strategy perspective.

Q: So you're not worried he's a Facebook plant?

A: Not at all.

Justin Timberlake: Stealth Silicon Valley angel? (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – As it turns out, Justin Timberlake's role as Napster founder Sean Parker in "The Social Network" was a wink and nod to the celebrity's little publicized role in driving Silicon Valley start-ups.

But his involvement in the technology industry drew public notice this week with news that Timberlake, whose character in the Oscar-nominated movie helped shape Facebook's early days, will take a stake in Myspace, the ailing social network website that New Corp is selling at a large loss.

The move -- in partnership with Specific Media -- is the latest in Timberlake's quietly expanding business and investment empire. It may also be one of his most high-profile to date, thrusting the singer-actor into a category of celebrity-turned-businessman in the mold of Ashton Kutcher.

"Fame is a highly fungible commodity," said Paul Levinson, a professor of communications and media studies at Fordham University and an author on media innovation. "It makes anything you do more likely to be successful."

Timberlake has several publicized business ventures, from jeans and clothing line William Rast and record label Tennman Records, a joint venture with Interscope Records, to 901 Silver Tequila, a name inspired by an area code in Timberlake's hometown of Memphis.

But Timberlake has been providing relatively under-the-radar angel investing to tech start-ups via his Tennman Digital, an operation based in San Francisco's tech hub.

It incubates "great ideas that we think will change how we share information, consume media, and interact with the people around us," in the interactive digital media space, according to a profile posted on techVenture, a website that pairs investors with start-ups.

Tennman Digital has funded start-up Particle, which develops micro-video application Robo.tv, among other things. The group has also provided funding to Apple iPhone gaming application developer Tapulous.

Timberlake's role at Myspace remains unclear, although he will have his own office and a staff of six that will work for him, according to Specific Media Chief Executive Tim Vanderhook.

Vanderhook said his company's expertise in technology and advertising would complement the star's innate creativity to produce a site with "high entertainment value," with original content from a community of musicians, photographers and other creative professionals.

The combination of money, an iconic image and the business acumen displayed by him in the past all increase the likelihood of success, Levinson said.

That's good news for Timberlake and Specific Media, whose investment signals optimism that the brand of Myspace can be revived.

"The one thing that's been underreported is how excited Justin is to do this. I was blown away by his excitement level," said Vanderhook in a phone interview. "I think he was blown away by his excitement level, too."

Justin Timberlake part of group buying MySpace (AP)

LOS ANGELES – Justin Timberlake apparently wasn't satisfied with just playing a social media impresario in the movies, so now he's becoming one in real life.

The pop star, who played Napster co-founder Sean Parker in "The Social Network," a movie about Facebook, has joined Specific Media in buying its downtrodden rival, MySpace, from News Corp. in a deal that closed Wednesday.

Timberlake will have an office at MySpace's Beverly Hills headquarters and a staff of about a half dozen people working for him "around the clock" developing his ideas for the site, said Specific Media CEO Tim Vanderhook.

The partners are set to unveil their plans for reviving the flagging site in a couple of months.

"When we met with Justin and we discussed what our strategy was, we hit a chord with him," Vanderhook told The Associated Press. "One of his passions is he really enjoys helping other artists and creating a community for people to really express themselves. I think we were blown away that we were able to get someone like Justin to be so excited about what we were doing."

The deal is for $35 million, mostly in Specific Media stock, according to a person familiar with the matter. That's a small fraction of the $580 million that News Corp. paid for the site six years ago. The sale resulted in the layoff of about half of the site's remaining 500 workers, said the person, who was not authorized to speak publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

As part of the exchange, News Corp. received a private equity stake in Specific Media and less than a 5 percent stake in MySpace.

With Timberlake's help, the buyers hope to revitalize MySpace and transform it into a destination for original shows, as well as bolster its already available video content and music. Vanderhook said the revamp will include additional investment in technology and maintain the right to stream music through the joint venture it has with major recording companies, MySpace Music.

"There's a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect," Timberlake, an Emmy and Grammy winning artist, said in a statement. "MySpace has the potential to be that place."

The sale closed a day before the end of News Corp.'s fiscal year, meaning it was able rid itself of about $250 million in losses, estimated Barclays Capital analyst Anthony DiClemente.

Over the last 11 quarters, News Corp. had cumulatively lost about $1.4 billion on the business segment that houses MySpace. It was a disastrous performance by a company that CEO Rupert Murdoch had predicted would reach $1 billion in annual revenue. It never reached that goal.

Walking away from the site was "the right decision," said Standard & Poor's equity analyst Tuna Amobi. "It's something that they should put behind them and kind of move on."

MySpace CEO Mike Jones, the last member of a three-member executive team appointed to fix the site in April 2009, said in a memo to staff Wednesday that he would help with the transition for two months before departing.

MySpace launched in 2003, founded by entrepreneurs Chris DeWolfe and Tom Anderson, who is every MySpace user's first friend. It became a popular Internet destination and a key way for little-known musicians to market themselves and interact with their fans.

But MySpace lost its footing over the years as the fun of customizing one's profile began to bore its users and heavy use of banner advertisements slowed the speed at which pages load. Meanwhile, Facebook, founded in 2004, limited what users and advertisers could do, but kept pages clean, and freshened them with its "news feed" of updates, a feature that MySpace later copied.

MySpace peaked with 76 million monthly U.S. visitors in October 2008. Advertisers and musicians who once relied on it for promotion fled the site for other hotter social networks like Facebook and, more recently, Twitter.

When Facebook a few years ago began allowing apps, including music functions and addictive games like "FarmVille," MySpace was left in the dust.

Less than half of MySpace's monthly visitors are now in the United States, where its visitor count dropped by half in May to 35 million, according to tracking firm comScore Inc. Facebook now has more than 700 million monthly visitors worldwide, it said.

"Apps were the breaking point and MySpace could never recover from that," said Charlene Li, a social media analyst and founder of Altimeter Group.

Rohit Kulkarni, an 18-year-old member of the San Jose, Calif. pop punk band Four O'Clock Heroes, said his group once exclusively used MySpace to reach fans with their music, but they haven't checked the site in months. They opened their Facebook band page last year.

"Most of our following was already on Facebook anyways," Kulkarni said. "Nowadays, people use Facebook over MySpace because it's integrated into almost everything, like all your mobile phones. I'm guessing that's why it became more popular."

Even "FarmVille" game-maker Zynga has taken a role promoting music, as shown recently when Lady Gaga unveiled her new album there.

Timberlake's involvement is a clear sign that MySpace will try to reconnect with its musical roots. Tim Vanderhook said that the acquisition is about returning MySpace "to what it was supposed to be."

Specific Media, based in Irvine, Calif., brokers the sale of ads to websites and has dabbled in creating original programming and matching it with sponsors. The company was founded in 1999 by brothers Tim, Chris and Russell Vanderhook.

At $35 million, Specific Media gets an Internet property for a price that Altimeter's Li called "ridiculously low" and values each monthly U.S. visitor at about $1 each. Its new owners should be able to recoup their investment if the company gets each user to click on about 20 ads over their lifetime, she said.

Justin Bartha, David Wilson Barnes, Anna Camp and Krysten Ritter Are 'All New People' Off-Broadway June 28 (Playbill)

The world premiere of the play All New People, penned by "Scrubs" star Zach Braff, begins previews Off-Broadway June 28 at Second Stage Theatre. Justin Bartha, David Wilson Barnes, Anna Camp and Krysten Ritter star.

Peter DuBois, who directed Braff in Paul Weitz's Trust at 2ST last summer, directs All New People, which opens July 25 for a run through Aug. 14.

According to 2ST, "It's the dead of winter and the summer vacation getaway of Long Beach Island, New Jersey is desolate and blanketed in snow. The island ghost town seems to be the perfect escape until his solitude is interrupted by a motley parade of misfits who show up and change his plans. A hired beauty, the townie fireman, and an eccentric British real estate agent desperately trying to stay in the country suddenly find themselves tangled together in a beach house where the mood is anything but sunny."

Bartha made his Broadway debut last season in the revival of Lend Me a Tenor. His film roles include "The Hangover," "The Rebound" and "National Treasure." Barnes was last seen in the 2ST production of Becky Shaw and Broadway's The Lieutenant of Inishmore. Camp performed in the 2ST production of The Scene and the Broadway revival of Equus; while Ritter was seen in 2ST's All This Intimacy and the films "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and "She's Out of My League."

Seth Meyers bows to Justin Timberlake's comedy (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – "Saturday Night Live" head writer Seth Meyers reveals his true feelings about Justin Timberlake, his favorite moment from last season and how much he misses Amy Poehler.

YOU HOSTED THE WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS' DINNER IN APRIL TO GREAT REVIEWS. HOW DID YOU PREPARE?

I had a bunch of writers from SNL helping me. We spent three weeks working on material, cutting and changing up until the actual day. My SNL training definitely kicked in. But really, it was the most stressful thing ever. I mean, following a really funny president is not what any comedian is angling for.

YOU SHOWED A LOT OF RESTRAINT IN COVERING THE ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER SCANDAL IN THE FINALE OF SNL. WHY?

Well, the timing was terrible because the news broke on a Monday, and that's a lifetime away from Saturday night. Also, there were a lot of talented people in late-night who got their cracks at it, so you have to try to find a way to repackage it in a way that's fresh. Strangely, at the table read, I don't think Arnold got mentioned hardly at all. I think it's because Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga were here for the finale. There was a lot going on. Timberlake is so good. I pale in comparison to him. It's like a butter knife next to a Swiss Army knife.

HOW MUCH PRESSURE DO OTHER LATE-NIGHT COMEDIANS PUT ON YOU TO MAKE SURE EVERY JOKE ON "WEEKEND UPDATE" IS COMPLETELY FRESH?

There isn't a huge risk of repeating what they've done, but we did have to be careful with bin Laden. After it was announced that his wives were potentially coming to the U.S., we had a joke -- "They're either gonna go to Guantanamo Bay or get their own show on Bravo" -- and someone on staff was like, "I think I've seen that joke four times this week," so we just pulled it altogether.

WHICH "WEEKEND UPDATE" SEGMENTS ARE THE TOUGHEST FOR YOU TO GET THROUGH WITHOUT CRACKING?

When Fred Armisen is doing an "Update" bit that's not going well, that's probably the hardest to not laugh because he is the most fearless performer. Once he did his Native American stand-up comedian character, and the audience just wasn't going for it. But it's this great thing -- you don't worry because he couldn't care less. I feel stressed when other people's (bits) don't go well, but with Fred, I've been trained to just go with it and know that for certain people, it's gonna be their favorite thing.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT OF THIS PAST SEASON?

When Dana Carvey came back, and we did "Wayne's World." It was fascinating to see how the audience reacted. And this year, Bill Hader's character Stefan got the same reaction. You could see people grabbing the person next to them like, "Oh, my God, we're at Saturday Night Live on a night when Stefan is here!"

CAN YOU EVER SEE YOURSELF HAVING ANOTHER "WEEKEND UPDATE" CO-ANCHOR?

The hard part would be imagining anyone other than Amy Poehler. She was my closest friend on the show, and she steers the ship very well. I miss arguing with her -- we both come from arguing backgrounds. She's one of the great all-time arguers.

WHEN YOU'RE OUT AND ABOUT NEW YORK, WHAT KIND OF FEEDBACK DO YOU GET ABOUT THE SHOW?

It's mostly positive. But I do get criticism that's not necessarily intended, which is like, "I love 'Weekend Update,' I can't stand the rest of the show." And then I have to say: "Well, I'm the head writer, so I'm responsible for that. Ah, that's my fault." I do own up.

PEOPLE SEEM HYPERCRITICAL OF SNL IN A WAY THEY AREN'T OF OTHER LATE-NIGHT COMEDY SHOWS. WHY DO YOU THINK THIS IS?

I think people have ownership of the show, like it's a part of your family and you're allowed to lay into it. You would never want to trade that for not having passionate fans. My favorite thing is meeting people who say they hate the show, but they "haven't watched it in 30 years." That irrational, tough-love hatred -- that's the greatest thing.

Eminem, Justin Bieber scoop Billboard Music Awards (Reuters)

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Eminem and teen idol Justin Bieber dominated the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, winning six awards each with the 38-year-old rapper taking the top honor for artist of the year.

With Eminem absent, Bieber helped lead the way on stage beside some of pop's biggest current stars at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, marking the music magazine's efforts to revive what was once an annual event following a four-year hiatus.

Sporting his now short, spiky hair and a sparkling gold tuxedo jacket, Bieber beat singer Bruno Mars and rapper Nicki Minaj for best new artist and marveled to the audience, "I'm 17 ... every day is crazy to me because I see so many people and I get to make so many people smile."

The Canadian pop star, who has gained a huge following of "Beliebers" through YouTube and social media websites, also won awards for top pop album, streaming artist and song, as well as social and digital media artist. He thanked "everybody who helped me get out of my home town and live my dream."

Detroit native Eminem, who released the critical and commercial success "Recovery" last year, including the hit single "Love The Way You Lie" featuring singer Rihanna, won awards for top male artist, billboard 200 album, rap artist, rap song and rap album.

Rihanna, 23, kicked off the show with a performance of "S&M" from her 2010 fifth studio album "Loud," and was joined on stage by Britney Spears before going on to win three awards including top female and top radio artist of the year.

She thanked her biggest fan devotees, who call themselves the Rihanna navy, and hailed her native Barbados. The last Billboard artist of the year was Rihanna's former boyfriend Chris Brown, who pleaded guilty to assaulting her in 2009 and did not attend the awards.

Katy Perry won awards for top hot 100 artist and top digital songs, while British singer-songwriter Taio Cruz won the top hot 100 song of the year for his hit, "Dynamite."

"Need You Now," by Lady Antebellum won country song of the year. The title track from their second album introduced the group from Nashville, Tennessee to audiences worldwide and is now the most-downloaded country song ever, according to Billboard.

Taylor Swift, 21, who has swept music award shows in the past several years, won country artist of the year. She sold 1,047,000 first-week copies of her third album "Speak Now" in the United States last November, making it the fastest-selling new album in five years.

Accepting the top duo or group award for the Black Eyed Peas, Will.i.Am singled out "technology because without technology we wouldn't be here as an industry."

Beyonce was honored with the Millennium Award for her musical influence and hailed as a role model for women.

Neil Diamond, 70, won the icon award before performing his 1969 hit, "Sweet Caroline." Other performers included Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj and singer Cee Lo Green.

U2 won the top touring award for its current "U2 360 degrees" tour, which features revolutionary staging and has become the highest-grossing tour of all time.

"You can make classic albums in your bedroom and you can play the greatest show of your life on a one-string guitar, but we just don't do that," U2 frontman Bono told the audience.

The awards, with eligibility from Feb 28, 2010 to March 1, 2011, were based on multiple factors including chart performance, album and single digital sales, touring and streaming and popularity on social media sites.

Justin Bieber tells Japanese kids: things will get better (Reuters)

TOKYO (Reuters Life!) – Canadian pop star Justin Bieber met with Japanese children whose lives have been devastated by an earthquake, tsunami and an ongoing nuclear crisis that has forced thousands of families from their homes.

In Japan for several concerts, the 17-year-old singer spoke briefly with nearly a dozen kids, including some from Otsuchi, a northeastern town massively damaged by the March 11 tsunami.

One boy from Otsuchi read a card from the children to Bieber, thanking him for meeting with them.

"We have friends who lost their family and their homes, some have left our school. The town is covered with wreckage and it will take a long time to get back to normal," he said.

"But we will work hard for this. Please give us courage through your music."

Bieber, who had earlier told the children that they "were an inspiration," said in return that life would improve.

"Things can get better and things will get better. There are only good times to come," he said.

Bieber has already contributed to a charity album "Songs For Japan" with artists such as Lady Gaga and Bob Dylan, which has raised over $5 million for the victims of the disasters that have left nearly 25,000 people dead or missing.

Bieber performed in the western city of Osaka to a sold-out venue and next appears at Tokyo's fabled Budokan for another sold-out performance.

Justin Bieber documentary tops DVD sales chart (Reuters)

By T.K. Arnold T.k. Arnold – Wed May 18, 7:24 pm ET

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – DVD buyers had Bieber fever last week; Blu-ray Disc fans, not so much.

Paramount Home Entertainment topped the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert sales chart the week ending May 15 with "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never," while on the research house's dedicated Blu-ray Disc chart, Bieber debuted at No. 3, behind the month-old Warner release "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I" at No. 1 and another Paramount new release, the comedy "No Strings Attached," at No. 2.

"No Strings Attached," which grossed $70.7 million in U.S. theaters and stars Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher, also captured the top spot on Home Media Magazine's home video rental chart, giving Paramount the top disc seller and the top disc renter in the same week.

"No Strings Attached" debuted at No. 2 on the overall sales chart, while "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I" remained perched at No. 3 for the second consecutive week after three weeks at No. 1.

Sony Pictures's "The Green Hornet," the previous week's top seller and renter, dropped to No. 4 on the First Alert sales chart and No. 2 on the rental chart.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I" also made its belated debut near the top of the rental chart, as its 28-day holdback from popular rental outlets Netflix and Redbox expired. After a month of availability at brick-and-mortar rental stores, "Deathly Hallows" still managed to muster a No. 4 finish, up from No. 45 the previous week underscoring the strength of mail-order and kiosks in today's rental business.

"Never Say Never" debuted at No. 7 on the rental chart, while Anchor Bay's "Blue Valentine" debuted at No. 8. "Blue Valentine," which earned $9.7 million in a limited theatrical release, also bowed at No. 7 on the overall sales chart and No. 11 on the Blu-ray Disc chart.

Justin Bieber fires back at "naughty boy" reports (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Justin Bieber says "CSI" star Marg Helgenberger is "kinda lame" for calling him "a brat" in a recent interview.

The teen idol took to Twitter on Monday to scold the actress for her comments and to deflect a separate report about his alleged misbehavior on a Qantas flight.

Helgenberger was widely quoted during the weekend as saying that Bieber, who appeared on two episodes of the long-running crime show, acted inappropriately on set.

"I shouldn't be saying this but he was kind of a brat," she told French radio network Europe 1. "He was very nice to me. But he locked one of the producers in a closet and he put his fist through a cake that was on the cast's table."

Bieber replied, via Twitter: "It's kinda lame when someone you met briefly and never worked with comments on you. I will continue to wish them luck and be kind."

A publicist for Helgenberger did not reply to an email seeking comment.

And on another subject, Bieber questioned the newsworthiness of a minor incident during his recent tour in Australia.

Local media said a flight attendant ordered Bieber to return to his seat after he strolled down the aisle as the plane was preparing to take off. Australia's SkyNews reported that she told him that "his behavior was a security risk and that he had been acting like a child and would therefore be treated like one."

Commented Bieber: "She was right and I sat down. That's news?"

He added: "I know who I am and sometimes people are just going to say what they want. Keep your head up and be the man your mama raised." (Reuters has edited the spelling.)

Australian charged over Justin Bieber egg throwing (AFP)

SYDNEY (AFP) – An Australian teenager was charged with breaking into the roof of a concert arena so he could throw eggs at Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber.

The 17-year-old heartthrob, touring Australia, has been mobbed by screaming girls at sold-out shows, but had eggs thrown at him when performing his first single "One Time" at a concert in Sydney on Friday.

None hit him and he finished singing the song before taking a break so the stage could be cleaned up.

Australian Associated Press said a 17-year-old Sydney resident was arrested at his home early Thursday and charged with break and enter, trespass and malicious damage following complaints from Acer Arena.

He was bailed to appear at a children's court on June 2.

Talk show host Conan O'Brien, rapper Snoop Dogg, Jim Carrey, Twitter, Skype and Hulu were among other winners in a contest that encompassed everything from websites to interactive advertising and media, online film, video and mobile and apps.

Winners of the 15th Annual Webby Awards will pick up their honors at a ceremony in New York on June 3.

Organizers said nearly 10,000 entries from all over the U.S. and around the world were received for this year's awards.

Justin Bieber Breaks Up With Twitter ... Via Twitter

Pop superstar Justin Bieber is breaking up -- no, not with girlfriend Selena Gomez -- with Twitter. Yesterday, Bieber took to his Twitter page to announce that he is staging a temporary trial separation with Twitter.

The performer wants to stay focused on his craft. "I'm just excited at this pt to get on stage and perform. gonna take a little break from twitter and enjoy this time with my family until then," he tweeted. Bieber has since posted a few more residual tweets. Guess breaking up is easier said than done.

In fairness, the Biebs might be genuinely ticked off. On his recent trip to Israel the 'Baby' singer's hopes of meeting with the Holy Land's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were dashed. He also recently voiced his frustration over the paparazzi's lack of respect for his privacy during his spiritual journey. Bieber Fever knows no bounds.

Has Justin Timberlake got a new girlfriend - already? Not according to Olivia Wilde

We wouldn’t like to be Jessica Biel right now. And that’s not a sentence that can be heard coming out of our gobs too often.

It looks like Justin Timberlake, who dumped long-term girlfriend Jess last month - ouch, has already moved on and found comfort in the arms of movie co-star Olivia Wilde.

The pair were seen getting cosy in an LA nightclub at the weekend with one nosey onlooker saying,

Justin Bieber Accidentally Sets His Mom's Hair on Fire During Show

Justin Bieber always promises an action-packed show for his fans--but at his concert this past Saturday night in Berlin, things got really crazy!

At the end of his show, the pop star brought his mother, Pattie Mallette, up on stage and surprised her with a birthday cake for her 35th birthday. But as she leaned in to blow out the candles, her hair caught on fire, UsMagazine.com reports.

While the audience sang Happy Birthday, the 17-year-old noticed that several pieces of his mom's hair were on fire. He quickly reached over and patted the fire out. Bieber saved the day! Watch video of the incident at Extra here.
