Lady Gaga, Ryan Reynolds class photos published (AP)

LOS ANGELES – Bradley Cooper's teenage tennis practice. Lady Gaga's first communion. A young Scarlett Johansson decorating a Christmas tree. Ryan Reynolds goofing around with his high-school classmates. Country crooner Blake Shelton as a guitar-playing kid.

These are just a few of the before-they-were-stars photos included in Ancestry.com's U.S. School Yearbook Collection. The genealogy website recently expanded its yearbook database to include nearly 7 million images from thousands of schools in the United States.

The database is designed to provide insight into family members' school years, says Ancestry.com executive vice president Josh Hanna, "and while you're searching, you might just find a famous classmate."

Among the celebrities included in the expanded database are Jon Stewart, LeBron James, Justin Timberlake, Gwyneth Paltrow, George Clooney, Will Ferrell and Sean Penn, sporting shaggy locks like his Jeff Spicoli character from 1982's "Fast Times at Ridgemont High."

The expanded U.S. Yearbook Collection will be available beginning Aug. 24.

Actor Burt Reynolds faces foreclosure on Florida home (Reuters)

ORLANDO, Fla (Reuters) – Veteran actor Burt Reynolds is facing foreclosure on his longtime southeast Florida home, according to a lawsuit filed by a mortgage firm.

The 75-year-old is known for starring roles including in films "Deliverance" and "Smokey and the Bandit" from the 1970s. He also won a Golden Globe for his role as a porn king in the 1997 film "Boogie Nights".

The mortgage on the house in Hobe Sound that is facing foreclosure was taken out in 1994, a year after Reynolds' widely publicized divorce from actress Loni Anderson.

Reynolds, who had heart bypass surgery last year, stopped making the mortgage payments a year ago and owes Merrill Lynch Credit Corporation almost $1.2 million, according to the lawsuit filed August 9 in Martin County.

Merrill Lynch also named two other financial institutions that might have an interest in the property.

A local newspaper reported in 2009 that Reynolds placed the 12,500 square foot, waterfront house, which he called Valhalla, on the market for $8.9 million.

The lawsuit lists a Little Rock, Arkansas, address for Reynolds. Neither the actor nor his manager could be reached for comment.

Ryan Reynolds leads Fox's celebrity guest-voice list (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) – "Green Lantern" star Ryan Reynolds will guest star on the animated "Family Guy" playing a character who "becomes obsessed with Peter Griffin," according to a Fox announcement made Friday at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour.

Six more words used by Fox to describe upcoming guest voices: Ricky Gervais, Cate Blanchett, Ellen Page. In fact, the words keep on coming -- Anna Kendrick, Cee Lo Green, Patrick Stewart, Anjelica Huston, David Boreanaz, Emily Deschanel, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan, Amy Sedaris, Kathy Griffin -- and that's just on "Family Guy."

"The Cleveland Show" will feature the returns of Kanye West, John Slattery, Fergie, will.i.am, Craig Robinson, Jamie Kennedy, Will Forte and Carl Reiner. Viewers will also hear Phylicia Rashad, Florence Henderson, Will Arnett, Darren Criss, Bruno Mars, and Questlove of the Roots.

And forget about "The Simpsons" at your peril. Guest voices on the new season include Kiefer Sutherland, Michael Cera, Gordon Ramsay, Anthony Bourdain, Aron Ralston (the man depicted in "127 Hours"), Jeremy Irons, Armie Hammer, Jane Lynch and Joan Rivers.

That's a lot of names. Frankly, we're exhausted just reading through them all. And the "who's who" list above doesn't even include Elizabeth Banks and Leslie Mann, who will appear on the new Fox animated comedy "Allen Gregory."

Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Reynolds finalize divorce (AP)

LOS ANGELES – The Green Lantern and Black Widow, or at least the actors who play them on the big screen, are officially single again.

Court records show a judge finalized the divorce Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson on Friday in Los Angeles.

Reynolds appeared in the recent film adaptation of the DC comic "The Green Lantern," filed for divorce in December.

The filing came shortly after the couple, which kept their courtship and nuptials private, announced they had split.

The final divorce judgment filed Friday did not say how the pair would divide their assets.

Johansson portrays the Black Widow in "Iron Man 2" and the upcoming "Avengers" film.

Reynolds' 'Lantern' has low-beam debut of $52.7M (AP)

LOS ANGELES – Ryan Reynolds is the latest superhero to rule the weekend box office.

Reynolds' "Green Lantern" debuted at No. 1 with $52.7 million domestically, a fair but unremarkable opening stacked up against other comic-book adaptations. The movie added $17 million in a handful of overseas markets where it has opened, including Great Britain and Russia.

Released by Warner Bros., "Green Lantern" brought up the rear among superhero movies to open so far this summer, behind the $65.7 million debut of "Thor" and the $55.1 million launch of "X-Men: First Class."

The previous weekend's top flick, Paramount Pictures' sci-fi adventure "Super 8," slipped to No. 2 with $21.3 million. Its domestic total rose to $72.8 million.

Jim Carrey's family comedy "Mr. Popper's Penguins" had a frosty start as the 20th Century Fox release came in at No. 3 with $18.2 million.

Overall business cooled for the second-straight weekend. Hollywood revenues totaled $149 million, down a steep 25 percent from the same weekend last year, when Disney's Pixar Animation blockbuster "Toy Story 3" debuted with $110.3 million, according to box-office tracker Hollywood.com.

Receipts this summer season still are ahead of last year's, with revenue climbing to $1.56 billion since the first weekend in May, up 7 percent from 2010's pace.

Another Pixar animated sequel, "Cars 2," could steer Hollywood upward again this coming weekend.

"We're fine. We're still ahead of last summer, and Pixar is going to have a chance to get us back in the mix next weekend," said Hollywood.com analyst Paul Dergarabedian.

Adapted from the DC Comics series, "Green Lantern" stars Reynolds as a cocky test pilot who gains superpowers after he becomes the first human recruit of a galactic police force.

The movie was trashed by critics, and after a solid $21.6 million haul on opening day Friday, "Green Lantern" trailed off sharply as revenues dropped 22 percent Saturday. That's often a sign that a movie lacks staying power, since revenues for new releases typically rise on Saturday.

With school letting out for the summer, Warner Bros. executives hope the movie will draw teenagers in on the weekdays.

"The mid-weeks are going to tell the tale of the movie," said Dan Fellman, head of distribution for Warner. If "Green Lantern" does good business come Monday, "then all bets are off and we're back in the game."

Likewise, 20th Century Fox is counting on good holdover business for "Mr. Popper's Penguins," a children's book adaptation that stars Carrey as a neglectful dad who learns the value of family ties after he inherits half a dozen pesky penguins.

"It's a heartwarming PG comedy that everybody can go see," said Fox distribution executive Bert Livingston. "There's humor for adults in there, and it's got penguins. People love penguins."

In narrower release, Freddie Highmore and Emma Roberts' teen romance "The Art of Getting By" flopped with a debut of just $700,000.

Released by Fox Searchlight, "The Art of Getting By" played in 610 theaters and averaged a dismal $1,148 a cinema.

That compared to a $13,806 average in 3,816 theaters for "Green Lantern" and $5,451 in 3,339 cinemas for "Mr. Popper's Penguins."

The Warner Bros. sequel "The Hangover Part II" pulled in $9.6 million domestically and $21.4 million overseas to raise its worldwide total to $488 million. That topped the $468 million global haul of 2009's "The Hangover."

Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" padded its lead as the biggest worldwide box-office draw released this year. The movie took in $6.2 million domestically and $25.9 million internationally to lift its total to $952.2 million.

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Hollywood.com. Where available, latest international numbers are also included. Final domestic figures will be released Monday.

1. "Green Lantern," $52.7 million ($17 million international).

2. "Super 8," $21.3 million.

3. "Mr. Popper's Penguins," $18.2 million.

4. "X-Men: First Class," $11.5 million.

5. "The Hangover Part II," $9.6 million ($21.4 million international).

6. "Kung Fu Panda 2," $8.7 million ($52.5 million).

7. "Bridesmaids," $7.5 million ($7.3 million international).

8. "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," $6.2 million ($25.9 million international).

9. "Midnight in Paris," $5.2 million.

10. "Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer," $2.2 million.

Debbie Reynolds selling historic movie costumes (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – If you ever wanted to relive the movie scene in which Marilyn Monroe's dress is blown upwards by a burst of air, you will get a chance on Saturday when her gown from "The Seven Year Itch" goes on auction.

Expect to fork over at least $1 million to $2 million for the ivory rayon-acetate halter dress with pleated skirt, one of about 500 wardrobe items being offloaded by actress and lifetime collector Debbie Reynolds at a Beverly Hills sale.

The so-called "subway grate" dress is the jewel in a collection that includes costumes previously worn by the likes of Grace Kelly, Natalie Wood, Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, Marlon Brando, Julie Andrews and Madonna.

And Mike Myers. One of his shagadelic "Austin Powers" combos, a groovy blood-orange number, is on the block for a relatively modest estimate of $6,000 to $8,000.

Reynolds, 79, has been collecting costumes since her early days as a contract actress at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, where she spent her spare time in the wardrobe department watching the artisans create movie history with needles and thread.

When the cash-strapped Hollywood studios started selling off their movie props in the 1970s, Reynolds presciently scooped up the best items. She used her connections to buy many items before they went on auction.

The dream was to display the 3,000-odd costumes in a museum, but that never came to fruition. A planned project in Tennessee went bankrupt in 2009, and a heartbroken Reynolds was forced to sell her beloved collection to pay back creditors. Several sales are planned.

"As I turn these precious items over to the auction, my wish is that they will find homes where they will be revered and preserved along with their history," Reynolds said.

Among the items are nine dresses that Reynolds wore in such films as "The Unsinkable Molly Brown," "How the West Was Won" and "Singin' in the Rain."

Prices for entertainment memorabilia have not been affected by the recession, so many of the estimates will likely be easily exceeded. Perhaps the real test of buyers' appetites will be what amounts to a heap of dirty rags: a tattered brown robe worn by Charlton Heston in "Planet of the Apes" is expected to fetch $8,000 to $12,000.

Also up for grabs at the Profiles in History sale are:

- Monroe's red-sequined dress from "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" ($200,000 to $300,000);

- Hepburn's Cecil Beaton-designed Ascot dress from "My Fair Lady" ($200,000-$300,000);

- replicas of Judy Garland's blue cotton dress ($60,000-$80,000) and ruby slippers ($120,000-$150,000) used in test shots for "The Wizard of Oz";

- an elaborate coronation costume worn by Brando in "Napoleon Bonaparte" ($60,000-$80,000);

- the "Do-Re-Mi" dress worn by Andrews in "The Sound of Music" ($40,000-$60,000);

- Kelly's rose crepe outfit from "To Catch a Thief" ($30,000-$50,000);

- an ivory military suit worn by Claude Rains in his Oscar-nominated "Casablanca" role as Captain Louis Renault ($12,000-$15,000);

- Taylor's brown period dress from "Raintree County" ($10,000-$15,000);

- Madonna's black evening gown and shoes from "Evita" ($4,000-$6,000);

- Wood's real-life high-school graduation dress ($2,000-$3,000).

Debbie Reynolds Forgave Elizabeth Taylor on a Boat

When Debbie Reynolds reflects on her friend and former foe Elizabeth Taylor, her words are often brushed with bittersweet strokes. Speaking a day after the film icon's death, Reynolds calls Taylor "the most glamorous star of our generation" and notes that "women liked her and men adored her, including my husband." As the story goes, back in 1959 Reynolds' husband Eddie Fisher fell under Taylor's intoxicating spell and left her and their two young kids. To make matters worse, it was all done in full view of the public.

"She went through her younger years of just obtaining what she wanted," Reynolds tells PopEater. "Later in life she became a little more aware of other people's feelings."

Reynolds tells us about forgiving her old friend, working with Taylor in her final starring role in 2001 and how she feels Jane Russell was given the short shrift when she died earlier this month.
Tell me how you forgave Elizabeth.
It was after many years. I'd remarried and she'd remarried. I was going to London on the Queen Elizabeth ship and I looked up and I saw tons of luggage going by me and birdcages and dog cages and nurses and I realized Elizabeth was on the same ship as me. I almost changed my mind about going but my husband said, 'Don't be silly, we won't be on the same floor. Of course we were so I sent a note to her room and she sent a note back to mine saying that we should have dinner and get this over with and have a good time. Because we were very good friends when we were 17 and went to school together on the MGM lot. And we had a wonderful evening with a lot of laughs.
