Jamie Foxx to host Michael Jackson tribute concert (AP)

LOS ANGELES – Jamie Foxx has been named to host the Michael Jackson tribute concert planned for October in Wales.

Foxx's spokesman said Monday that the Oscar-winning star of "Ray" would host "Michael Forever — The Tribute Concert." It is scheduled for Oct. 8 in Cardiff, Wales.

Christina Aguilera, Smokey Robinson and Cee Lo Green are among the show's announced performers.

The show is not affiliated with Michael Jackson's estate, but Jackson's mother, Katherine, and other Jackson family members are scheduled to attend.

Organizers had to rescind an offer to the band Kiss last month after fans and Jackson's estate noted that singer-bassist Gene Simmons had harshly criticized the pop singer over the years.

Kate Moss marries rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince (Reuters)

LONDON (Reuters) – British supermodel Kate Moss married her rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince on Friday in a small English country church, accompanied by 15 bridesmaids.

Moss, 37, and Hince, 42, a guitar player with The Kills, posed for photos outside the church in the village of Southrop in southern England, after the ceremony.

It was the first marriage for the British model, who met Hince in 2007.

Moss wore a sleeveless, full-length, white wedding dress designed by her close friend John Galliano and covered in rhinestones, according to Womens Wear Daily.

Her eight year-old daughter Lila was among the 15 bridesmaids, who were all dressed in ivory, British media reports said.

The couple are expected to throw a three-day reception and party at the model's home nearby, according to media reports.

Moss began her professional career as an ultra-slim 16 year-old and quickly became one of the best known and top-earning models in the world.

Jamie Foxx frontrunner for Quentin Tarantino film (Reuters)

By Jay A. Fernandez and Borys Kit Jay A. Fernandez And Borys Kit – Wed Jun 22, 7:27 pm ET

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Jamie Foxx has emerged as the frontrunner for the title role in Quentin Tarantino's spaghetti Western "Django Unchained."

The Oscar-winning "Ray" star has been in the mix for weeks, but talks have now progressed to a point that Foxx is the sole actor in the running to take on the part of the vengeful slave who teams up with a German bounty hunter to scour the Old South looking for his wife.

Will Smith and Idris Elba ("The Wire") had also been in consideration for the role. Smith passed and Elba is now doing Guillermo del Toro's "Pacific Rim."

Sources caution that no offer has been made and that talks are in a delicate stage since Foxx has concerns about taking on the risky role.

Leonardo DiCaprio, "Pulp Fiction" veteran Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz, who won an Oscar for Tarantino's last film, "Inglourious Basterds," have been circling other major roles. If they come together, Waltz would play the cocky dentist-turned-bounty hunter who trains Django to fight, Jackson would play a villainous house slave, and DiCaprio would step into the corrupt boots of plantation owner Calvin Candie, who wins Django's wife in a poker game.

Foxx, whose recent headlining turns in films such as "Law Abiding Citizen," "The Soloist" and "The Kingdom" have underwhelmed at the box office, returns to theaters on July 8 with the comedy "Horrible Bosses."
