Russell Brand to be 1st guest on new 'Rosie' show (AP)

CHICAGO – Rosie O'Donnell gets her wish: Russell Brand will be the first guest on her new talk show.

The Oprah Winfrey Network announced Thursday that the comedian and actor will appear on the Oct. 10 premiere of "The Rosie Show."

O'Donnell has said she's fascinated with Brand and called him a genius. She previously said she would love to have him as her first guest.

The show will air on the Oprah Winfrey Network, which promises Brand will be "one of many notable celebrities" during the show's first two weeks.

O'Donnell will tape in Chicago's Harpo Studios, former home of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" until it ended in May after 25 years.

Brand was featured in the movies "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," "Get Him to the Greek" and "Arthur."

Kris Jenner to guest co-host on `The Talk' (AP)

NEW YORK – Soon, the Kardashian sisters are going to have a hard time keeping up with their mom, Kris Jenner.

Jenner appears on the E! reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" and manages the careers of her daughters Khloe, Kourtney and Kim. She is also set to serve as a guest co-host on CBS' daytime show "The Talk" this fall.

"I hope a little bit of my own personality and the way that I am with my family is the same thing I am going to bring to `The Talk' — as a mother and a wife and a businesswoman and a friend and all those things," Jenner said in an interview Wednesday night at a party for the Kardashian Kollection at Sears.

Jenner said it was natural for her three older daughters to launch a clothing line.

"I like to build things and to create something out of nothing and have it be successful. This is an example here tonight that Kim and I dreamed about," she said. "It is about setting goals."

Besides guiding her family's careers, Jenner has written a memoir, "Kris Jenner ... And All Things Kardashian," set for release in November.

"I wanted to do a business book, but I wanted to get my memoir out of the way. Tell my story. This is what my thing is. This is how I grew up. My first marriage (to the late attorney Robert Kardashian) into my second marriage (to former Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner), kids and my journey through all of that. I think you will be really surprised," she said. "I had two very distinct, separate lives."

Wim Wenders to be guest at Sarajevo festival (AFP)

SARAJEVO (AFP) – German director Wim Wenders will be one of the main guests at this year's Sarajevo Film Festival, a key regional film gathering, the organisers said Thursday.

"The Sarajevo Film Festival has the great honour to announce that the guest of its 17th edition is going to be one of the most prominent filmmakers of today, German director Wim Wenders," it said in a statement.

Wenders will present to the Bosnian audience his latest film PINA, a feature-length 3D documentary film about legendary German choreographer Pina Bausch, the festival organisers added.

Wenders will also give lectures to budding filmmakers at the Sarajevo Talent Campus, education programme organised by the Sarajevo Film Festival in cooperation with the International Film Festival in Berlin.

The jury for official competition at the Sarajevo Film Festival, which takes place from July 22 to 30, will be presided by Israeli director Ari Folman, while a special guest will be Argentinian director Lucrecia Martel.

The festival, launched during the 1992-1995 war in Bosnia, has become a must-see festival in southeastern Europe.

In 2010 more than 200 movies from 52 countries were shown at the festival.

Mathew Morrison joins boy band tour as special guest (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – "Glee" star Matthew Morrison will join this summer's Backstreet Boys/New Kids on the Block tour as a special guest.

Morrison, who plays a high school teacher on the Fox network show, will perform in arenas across the U.S. with the two boy bands. This move will postpone some of his solo shows, but will give Morrison a larger platform for exposure.

He joins the tour in Anaheim, CA on July 6 and ends his run August 7 in London, Ontario. Morrison's show in New York at the Beacon Theater will now take place August 1.

This was an opportunity I couldn't pass up," said Morrison in a statement. "I am so appreciative of my fans and I'm planning to give them a great show."

New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys (NKOTBSB) surprised fans when they first took the stage together for a sold-out Radio City Music Hall show in June 2010. The two groups performed at the American Music Awards this past November.

Morrison has been nominated for Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe awards, and shared the 2009 SAG Award for best performance by an ensemble in a television series with the Glee cast.
