Heidi Klum and Seal call it quits

(Reuters) - Supermodel and "Project Runway" TV host Heidi Klum and British singer Seal are separating after seven years of marriage, a parting the pair termed amicable in a statement on Sunday night.

"While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate," the two said in a statement.

"We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart."

The German-born Klum and Seal, who married in 2005, have four children ranging in age from 2 to 7. They said protecting the well-being of their children was their top priority.

They also thanked family and friends for their support.

Signs of trouble in their marriage surfaced over the weekend on celebrity magazine websites, surprising fans of the couple who had seemed to enjoy a stable relationship.

The two released a steamy music video in September 2010 for the Grammy-winning singer's single "Secrets," which featured the naked couple in bed together.

In an interview with Reuters at the time, Seal said that he had titled his sixth album "Commitment" because that was a recurring theme for him, particularly since meeting Klum.

The couple, who at one time renewed their marriage vows every year, in 2010 were also preparing to shoot a pilot program for cable television that gave couples the chance to have the wedding of their dreams.

Heidi Klum going nude for "Project Runway" promo (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Former supermodel Heidi Klum is stripping down to promote Lifetime's "Project Runway."

While she has yet to sign off on a final image from a shoot held earlier this week, the show's host opted to bare all as part of the promotional campaign for the fashion competition series' ninth season, which will kick off this summer.

The decision was inspired by the cable network's push -- and for that matter, need -- to embrace the contemporary woman.

Since taking the reins a year ago, Lifetime president and general manager Nancy Dubuc has pushed both her programing and her marketing teams to move away from that "women in peril" stereotype that has plagued the one-time ratings champ in recent years.

Instead, her staff has been tasked with finding and celebrating female characters who are brazen, strong, confident and sexy. To hear Dubuc tell it, having Klum show off her model figure is a way of showcasing a woman who has all of those attributes.

Plus, she said with a big smile, "it's Heidi F--in' Klum."

I'm Not 'White-Picket-Fence Perfect' Says Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum is opening up about everything from her marriage to parenting in the May issue of Good Housekeeping.

The world has been enamored with the 37-year-old since she first began her career with Victoria's Secret. But since marrying Grammy Award winner Seal, fans have seen Klum in a different light -- as a true romantic.

"He's the most charming, loving, fun, gentlemanly, inspirational man I could have wished for," Klum says of her husband of six years. "He always makes me feel I'm the only woman in the world."

While the couple seem madly in love, Klum knows her whole life can't revolve around Seal. A doting mother, Klum makes it clear that their first priority are her four children.

"Family comes first," Klum insists. "You're the only thing they have."
No matter how hard the balance between mom and mogul may be, Klum finds the time to take her business endeavors seriously. Over the past decade, Klum has put her name on perfume, jewelry, cosmetics, jeans, sandals and a line with New Balance, which have helped her generate $16 million a year.

"Keeping it all together as a modern woman means multitasking, especially when you work," she says. "I think you always need to try your best, but at the same time you can only do what you can do, and you don't need to beat yourself up about it. I'm not white-picket-fence perfect."

Heidi Klum, Miley Cyrus, Russell Brand Get Silly at Kids' Choice Awards

Heidi Klum found herself going green, so to speak, as she took the mic on Saturday wearing Dolce & Gabbana (alongside Nick Cannon). And Jim Carrey, making a surprise appearance, reportedly almost slipped in green goo backstage before even more of it was dumped on his head onstage.

As always, the 2011 Nickelodean's Kids' Choice Awards, a live and very slimy 90-minute ceremony (hosted for the third time by Jack Black), was teeming with stars, including: Steven Tyler, Eddie Murphy, Jane Lynch, Snoop Dogg, Taylor Momsen, Star Jones, Sofia Vergara, Paris Hilton, Miranda Cosgrove, Randy Jackson, Jason Segel, Kim Kardashian, Rosario Dawson and more.

Outrageous 'Arthur' star Russell Brand was targeted by gobs of green slime from kids in the mosh pit, and threw a faux hissy fit (alongside co-presenter Rico Rodriguez of 'Modern Family'), shouting, "I'm never having children!"

Willow Smith was on hand to perform 'Whip My Hair,' while Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas (who were named Favorite Music Group) opened the show. After the jump, check out the highlights.
Fans vote on the winners, and according to MTV.com, big awards this year went to Justin Timberlake (Big Help Award for charitable work), Selena Gomez and Dylan Sprouse (Favorite TV Actress and Actor), Jackie Chan (Favorite Buttkicker) and Josh Duhamel, who wore a Justin Bieber-like purple bow tie for the festivities and claimed victory -- over Kaley Cuoco of 'The Big Bang Theory' and Kevin James -- in the category of Best Armpit Fart.

Miley Cyrus and Johnny Depp picked up awards for Favorite Movie Actress and Actor. Meanwhile, Katy Perry won Favorite Female Singer, but is on the road touring and did not attend the ceremony.
