LOS ANGELES (Billboard) – Nick Cave and Neko Case have recorded a cover of the Zombies' "She's Not There" for the Season 4 premiere of "True Blood," airing June 26.
The song closes the episode, which is also titled "She's Not There." The version by Cave and Case, who shared concert bills about a decade ago, replaces Santana's hit 1977 cover of the tune, which was requested in the script.
"The key to a good soundtrack is having fresh recordings," "True Blood" music supervisor Gary Calamar said Wednesday at the Musexpo in Hollywood.
