A 'Harry Potter' Reunion For Emma Watson

Emma Watson has lined up her next role.

Emma Watson is set for a "Harry Potter" reunion with the franchise's producer, David Heyman.

Watson and Heyman will collaborate for "The Queen of the Tearling," Variety reports. The upcoming project is the film adaptation of a book trilogy, to be published by Harper Collins in 2014. The trilogy is being hyped as the next "Game of Thrones," penned by first-time author Erika Johansen.

Watson has signed on to star in the film, as well as serve as executive producer. While "The Queen of the Tearling" is still without a director or writer, and the first book has yet to hit stores, the rights to the novel were already acquired by Warner Bros.

Watson recently appeared in Sofia Coppola's "The Bling Ring" and apocalyptic comedy "This Is The End." The 23-year-old actress will also appear in the upcoming biblical film "Noah."

Emma Watson speaks to difference between U.S., UK fans (Reuters)

NEW YORK (TheWrap) – It's a proud day to be an American.

That's because we now know that Emma Watson, the British actress who plays Hermione in the "Harry Potter" films, prefers U.S. fans to their U.K. counterparts.

"British audience members will come out and say, 'Well, that was very good,'" said Watson, while explaining the difference during a stop at "Late Show with David Letterman." "The American way is 'That was awesome!'"

"As much as I love being in the U.K.," she concluded, "that's the kind of response you want to get to your movie."

Letterman also grilled Watson about whether she's ever been drunk before, and how it was to go from age nine to 21 over the course of filming the eight "Harry Potter" movies, whose final installment is released on Wednesday.

"I've actually spent more time being Hermione than I have just being myself," she said.

When asked whether she envies friends who aren't involved with the 'Harry Potter' film series, she deadpanned:

"I think it would have been much more boring."

"I'm pretty happy with the way my life turned out ... I mean, who doesn't want to be the 'Harry Potter' girl?"

Emma Watson looks to grow past Harry Potter (AP)

Emma Watson is preparing for the next chapter of her life

The `Harry Potter' actress admits that she needs to find her way out of the bubble, which she describes in part as the safe world of life on the set of the successful film franchise.

Watson says in the July issue of Vogue magazine that she wants to explore more of her creative side, and cites Patti Smith as a role model.

"I want to live like Patti," she said of the singer-songwriter, visual artist and poet.

The 21-year old remains close with co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, and recently flew to New York to see Radcliffe perform on Broadway in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying."

Watson plays Hermione Granger for last time when the franchise's last film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" is released in July.

Emma Watson Has Sympathy for Kate Middleton

She's about to marry Prince William in a fairytale wedding, but there's one Brit who isn't envious of Kate Middleton: 'Harry Potter' actress Emma Watson.

"Poor girl, that must be an incredible amount of pressure," Watson said to the The Associated Press (via Huffington Post) about the bride-to-be. "I hope she's enjoying it. Must be intense."

According to PEOPLE, a local reporter asked Middleton if she was nervous about the upcoming weddings, to which she replied, "Yes, of course I am."

Watson is certainly no stranger to the spotlight, thanks to her decade-long role as Hermione Granger in the 'Harry Potter' films. She's been catapulted into fame, not just in the UK but around the world, similar to Middleton.

However, all of her 'Potter' duties and endorsement deals took a toll on the academic actress, causing her to take time off from her studies at Brown University, where she enrolled in 2009.

"I just knew I was going to be beating myself up because I wasn't going to be able to be doing the best that I knew that I could at school or in my job," she told the AP. "If I'd been getting B's or C's I would've been really upset."

Watson plans to return to the classroom this fall as soon as she's finished with promotion for the final 'Harry Potter' film, which opens this summer.
