Ellen Barkin wins featured actress Tony Award (AP)

NEW YORK – Ellen Barkin has won the Tony Award for best performance by an actress in a featured role.

Barkin won for her searing performance as a frustrated doctor trying to combat AIDS in the revival of Larry Kramer's "The Normal Heart." The play marks her Broadway debut.

She is better known as a film actress and her credits include "The Big Easy" opposite Dennis Quaid and "Sea of Love" with Al Pacino.

Barkin beat out Edie Falco in "The House of Blue Leaves," Judith Light in "Lombardi," Joanna Lumley in "La Bete" and Elizabeth Rodriguez in "The Motherf---- With the Hat."

Watch Ellen DeGeneres Dance with Jennifer Hudson's Adorable Son

It looks like Jennifer Hudson may have passed along her sense of rhythm to her young son, David. The pair stopped by 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' this week, and the popular talk show show host boogied with the little guy on set.

According to Just Jared, Hudson, 29, appeared on the daytime show to chat with DeGeneres about her weight loss struggle. The soulful singer recently teamed up with Weight Watchers to promote a healthy lifestyle and has lost over 10 dress sizes in the past year and a half.

"I just knew, after I had my baby, I just wanted my body back. Whatever body that was," Hudson said. "That was when I made up my mind. I was going to go for it." Watch DeGeneres and David dancing on set after the jump.
She continued, "And then I realized when I was pregnant, I was like, 'Man, I was wearing the same clothes I was wearing before I was pregnant.' That was kind of like a wake up call and I wanted to set a good example for my son."

It looks like it's working. David, at 18 months old, looks like he's ready to hit the dance floor, showing off his moves with DeGeneres. Watch the video below!
