What summer would be complete without a charming, coming-of-age romance? Certainly not summer of 2013 at least, as A24 has "The Spectacular Now" scheduled for release in August.
Based on the novel by Tim Tharp and written for the screen by Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, "The Spectacular Now" follows Sutter (Miles Teller), a popular high school student who thinks he has his life figured out, until he realizes he doesn't. Enter Aimee (Shaliene Woodly), an adorable wallflower who falls for Sutter, for better and worse. James Ponsoldt ("Smashed," the upcoming "Rodham") directs.
