Sounds like Lindsay Lohan is ready to say "bye, bye" to the Betty Ford Center.
According to TMZ, the 26-year-old is "hell-bent on making her escape" after the facility cut off her supply of Adderall, saying that she doesn't need the drug. Despite Lohan's claims that she takes the pills for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, doctors at Betty Ford reportedly evaluated her and believe that there are plenty of substitute medications for ADHD that are less addictive than Adderall.
Betty Ford also reportedly does not prescribe the drug to people over the age of 15, as it is known to be misused as a weight loss substance.
TMZ reports that Lohan is allegedly telling friends that she wants to be moved to another facility that will allow her to take her daily dose of Adderall.
In an interview with Piers Morgan last month, Lohan said, “I have severe ADD. I can’t stand still. So I take Adderall for that, it calms me. I know people who take it to stay up, or girls who take it to supposedly stay slim because it kills your appetite. But I eat all the time. I just take it to stay calm. It works well for me.”
But despite Lohan's claims that she doesn't use Adderall to maintain her slim frame, RadarOnline.com is reporting that she's now worried she'll gain weight since she's no longer taking the drug.
“Lindsay has been able to eat whatever she has wanted and not gain weight for years and she attributes this to Adderall," a source close to the actress told RadarOnline.com. “Everyone knows that the controversial drug ramps up your metabolism, and can suppress the appetite."
