Schwarzenegger daughter 'way closer' to mom Maria (AP)

MALIBU, Calif. – The eldest daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver says she fled to London after her parents separated, in part to escape a storm of unwanted attention.

Katherine Schwarzenegger tells Harper's Bazaar magazine ( http://us.rd.yahoo.com/dailynews/ap/ap_en_ce/storytext/us_schwarzenegger_daughter/42554448/SIG=10me8qnga/*http://bit.ly/nQeBrc) she wanted to "go away and realize that it's not as big a deal in other places."

Shriver and the former Republican governor are in the midst of a divorce, after Arnold Schwarzenegger confirmed in May he fathered an out-of-wedlock child with a former housekeeper.

Their 21-year-old daughter never mentions her now-teenaged half-brother in the interview, while discussing what she calls "definitely a difficult time."

She says she tries "not to care about what other people ... think," but adds she's been consoled by Twitter messages from supporters.

She tells the magazine, "I've always been way closer to my mom."

Larry Flynt's daughter sued for sexual harassment (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap) – Stop the presses! Someone has filed a sexual harassment claim against a member of the Flynt family -- and it isn't Larry!

In papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, former Hustler West Coast District Manager Steven Prescott claims that he was harassed by the Hustler publisher's daughter, Theresa, who works for Hustler's retail arm.

According to Prescott, Flynt made unwanted sexual advances toward him, including a late-night text message reading, "I want you...Now." The suit also claims that Flynt "often and repeatedly touched Mr. Prescott inappropriately in a sexual manner."

The suit claims that, when Prescott objected to the advances he was subjected to an increasingly hostile work environment.

Prescott claims that he brought the matter up to Hustler's human-resources department, but was told that the results of their investigation were "inconclusive."

Prescott is seeking unspecified damages.

Obama's next crisis: a teenage daughter (AFP)

WASHINGTON (AFP) – US President Barack Obama said Friday he's prepared for a potential crisis in the White House next month -- his oldest daughter becoming a teenager.

"I could not ask for better kids. I'm not anticipating complete mayhem for the next four or five years, but I understand teenagehood is complicated," Obama told ABC News when asked about his daughter Malia's 13th birthday.

"I should also point out that I have men with guns that surround them often, and a great incentive for running for re-election is that it means they never get in the car with a boy who had a beer," he added.

In addition to bringing the Secret Service along on dates, any potential suitor might also face the prospect of tough bilateral negotiations with the leader of the free world.

"I might invite him over to the Oval Office, ask him for his GPA (grade point average), find out what his intentions are in terms of career," Obama said.

"Malia, Sasha, if you're watching this, I'm just joking."

Later in the interview, however, Obama revealed that there are still some matters in which he's not the chief executive.

When asked if he and First Lady Michelle Obama had ever considered having more children or trying for a son, he replied: "You act as if this is a decision of mine. It really isn't."

"As Michelle points out, I did not carry 10 pounds in my belly, you know. I think that Michelle's general view is we're done."

Malia will turn 13 on July 4. Her younger sister Sasha celebrated her 10th birthday earlier this month at the Camp David presidential retreat.

Billy Bob Thornton's daughter guilty in death (AP)

ORLANDO, Fla. – The estranged daughter of actor Billy Bob Thornton has been found guilty of aggravated manslaughter of a child in Orlando.

Prosecutors say 32-year-old Amanda Brumfield was convicted Friday. She is expected to be sentenced in July.

She was acquitted of first-degree murder and aggravated child-abuse charges.

Authorities say Brumfield killed her best friend's daughter during an overnight stay in October 2008.

Brumfield says 1-year-old Olivia Madison Garcia was trying to climb out of a playpen and hit her head. The defense suggested the fall may have aggravated a previous injury, causing her death.

Prosecutors say it's impossible that a fall from that height caused a three-and-a-half inch fracture on the back of the girl's skull and the bleeding and swelling found in her brain.

Face transplant patient says daughter calls him "handsome" (Reuters)

BOSTON (Reuters) – The recipient of the nation's first facial transplant made his debut public appearances on Monday, saying he soon will go home to Texas to be with his young daughter and might attend college.

Dallas Wiens, 26, had most of his facial features burned off by contact with a high-voltage wire in 2008 and underwent a 15-hour procedure two months ago to replace his face.

Since the transplant, Wiens said, the most rewarding moment came when he was reunited with his preschool daughter.

"She was amazed. She actually said, 'Daddy, you're so handsome,'" Wiens said at a news conference at Brigham and Women's, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, where a team of more than 30 medical experts replaced his nose, lips, skin, muscles of facial animation and nerves in March.

"To me the face feels natural. It feels as if it has become my own," said Wiens, of Fort Worth, Texas.

Prior to the transplant, he could not smell, had trouble breathing and underwent more than 20 surgeries in Dallas.

When the transplant brought back his sense of smell, Wiens said the first scent he encountered was hospital lasagna.

It smelled delicious, he said.

Wearing dark sunglasses, Wiens spoke slowly but clearly. He is blind and his face droops slightly to one side, but his beard is growing back and he has a full head of hair.

In addition to his news conference, Wiens appeared on Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America."

His disfiguring accident occurred in November 2008 when he was working as a contractor. Helping paint a church, he was riding high on a cherry picker that struck a power line.

Wiens said that once home, he might attend college.

Over the next six to nine months he will be working to regain his facial muscle function and sensation in parts of his face, doctors said.

"Every step of the way was amazing," Wiens said. "It just felt like learning how to do everything over again but in a very real, very good way."

Doctors at Brigham and Women's performed the nation's second full face transplant in April on Mitch Hunter, 30, of Indiana, who suffered a severe shock from a high voltage electrical wire following a car accident in 2001.

Charla Nash, a Connecticut woman mauled by a chimpanzee in 2009, is on a waiting list for the surgery, the hospital said.

The world's first full face transplant was done in Spain in 2010.

Rocker Bryan Adams is father of baby daughter (Reuters)

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Rocker Bryan Adams has become a father for the first time at the age of 51, People magazine reported on Thursday.

The "Summer of '69" musician's personal assistant gave birth to a daughter, Mirabella Bunny, on April 22, People said on its Web site. Adams' spokeswoman did not respond to messages seeking confirmation.

The mother, Alicia Grimaldi, is a long-time employee who helps run Adams' charitable efforts. She and the baby were both "well and happy," Adams was quoted as saying in the report.

Adams maintains strict secrecy about his private life, and the nature of his personal relationship with Grimaldi has not been disclosed.

Britain's Sunday Telegraph, which broke the news of his pending fatherhood in March, quoted an unidentified source at the time as saying that many of Adams' friends did not know he was in a relationship.

Grimaldi, a Briton, helped set up the Bryan Adams Foundation in 2004, three years after graduating from Cambridge University, according to Adams' Web site.

Adams, famed for such rock songs as "Summer of '69," "Cuts Like a Knife," and "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)," will launch a European tour next month.

Halle Berry Talks About Custody Battle for Her Daughter

Actress Halle Berry has never talked about her custody battle with ex Gabriel Aubry before but in an interview with Extra, the 43-year-old actress finally opened up and talked about the court proceedings without giving exact details.

"It's been a year full of challenges. When there's a child involved, it's a relief when you can resolve things in a good way," Berry said. "Our issues were never about fighting for her. We both know a child needs both her parents."

She continued, "But what I want to say about it is sometimes, as a couple, you reach an impasse. We need a court and a judge to help us work out some of the delicate issues, and I'm so happy we've arrived at that place -- because for her sake, this is the best way. We both love her more than life."

The Oscar winner has been in a long, and at times contentious custody battle with French-Canadian model Aubry, the father of their 3-year-old daughter, Nahla. The couple had split in April 2010.
Berry recently pulled out of her Broadway debut in the production of 'Mountaintop' and the producers had attributed it to her "custody issues."

But PEOPLE is reporting that a source close to the actress has revealed that the information is incorrect. "She didn't pull out of the play because of custody issues. She had a conflict of work," a source said.

The source also talked about the custody battle. "Halle was never going for full custody. That wasn't what it was about. Whatever the outcome, she wasn't trying for that. There were just other issues that they couldn't resolve and therefore the courts had to intervene."

Berry has been dating actor Olivier Martinez since last fall.
