Even super heroes love "Downton Abbey" ... at least they do in "Iron Man 3." According to several reports, including one from Yahoo! TV, a scene from "Downton Abbey" appears in Marvel's latest "Iron Man" installment.
In the movie, in theaters May 3, former "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau -- in character as Happy Hogan, Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) chauffeur/body guard -- watches a scene featuring Branson (Allen Leech) and Sybil (Jessica Brown Findlay).
Leech took to Twitter saying he heard several reports of his appearance.
@AllenleechAllen Leech “@booboomcgoo: Iron Man 3 is well good. Surprise performance from Allenleech is always welcome.” A couple of people have said this! Eh what? @Allenleech
Allen Leech “@booboomcgoo: some bits where Iron Man's bodyguard is watching Downton Abbey the scenes with Branson & Sybil in the garage.” Ha brilliant x
And Favreau also tweeted about the scene.
"Downton Abbey" is currently filming Season 4 without Dan Stevens and Siobhan Finneran, but in addition to the returning cast members, the new season will feature Gary Carr as the show's first black character, a jazz singer named Jack Ross, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Tom Cullen, Julian Ovenden, Nigel Harman, Joanna David and Dame Harriet Walter and the return of Shirley MacLaine.
