Catherine Zeta-Jones has admitted herself into a mental health facility for treatment of her bipolar condition.
A spokesperson for the Oscar-winning actress said in an email to The Associated Press that she had 'proactively' checked herself into the centre.
Publicist Sarah Fuller told AP last night that Zeta-Jones "is committed to periodic care in order to manage her health in an optimum manner."

This isn't the first time that the 43-year-old 'Chicago' star has been admitted for treatment for her condition. Two years ago she checked into a similar facility for a brief stay.
The disorder is characterised by mood swings and depressive episodes, which are usually treated with medication and psychotherapy.
Earlier this year the star was awarded a CBE for her services to the film industry and her charity work.
